Oh ye of little faith. You thought we were done with these, didn't you? Well after seeing the new Cinderella movie tonight - faldeerol and fiddle dee dee - Eliza came home and did her best Sleeping Beauty impression.
The funny thing is she starting falling asleep in this spot right after we got home, but then David got her to get up, put on PJs and brush her teeth. He thought she was putting herself in bed only to discover that she returned to the crash spot to delight us all.
And with that, I bid you all a bippity boppety boo night.
Just when you thought there wouldn't be anymore, my little crasher still has it in her!
She apparently has been taking advantage of daily scheduled quiet time in her TK class to get in what will be her last opportunities to take naps at school before she starts kindergarten in the fall at public school.
I'm very thankful that her amazing teacher, Miss Debbie, snapped a picture for me and even more so that I didn't give in to Eliza's protests this morning about wearing bike shorts under her uniform dress.
The Halloween Hangover has officially kicked in. It probably didn't help that today I threatened to - and actually did - throw out a piece of Halloween candy from her bucket every time she whined, hit (a 2-piece infraction), or had to be asked to do something more than once. As of game time, she was down 9 pieces of candy. I'm sure between not trying to lose anymore and a very exciting afternoon soccer match, she was just spent.
I think the kitty decided to get in on the action because it's the one and only time she could get near Eliza without her picking her up and making her pretend she can fly (which should probably be a 3-piece infraction now that I think about it).
I took too long trying to pick out some underwear. My bad and yet, my good fortune.
She shoots. She scores. She falls asleep on the kitty bed.
Just when you thought there would be no more posts.......
Eliza had her first soccer game today and played in 105 degree heat. She followed that with a swim party and then was forced to run errands with her mom. She came home and quickly looked for our two new kitties, Matilda and Bella, who hang in the hallway right now while we're out, and decided right then and there that the kitties were dead to her, but their bed, well that was pretty attractive.
I know. It's been a while. And truthfully I was giving up all hope that we would ever have another crash, but I also knew that if today didn't take her down, then nothing would. We started the day with ballet lessons and a pre-recital photo session. Then we went with friends to Eliza's school's carnival, which we walked/scootered to and back and only ate completely processed sugar and carbs for lunch (no protein, mother of the year here admits). Follow that with an afternoon play date and you've got a recipe for a good ol' fashioned random crash.
As this may very possible be my last post, I think it's only fitting that her possible last random crash (well, at least until college I'm guessing), is with her face painted like a sweaty kitten.
